A possibly cancerous 'tumour' has been found on Claudia Burkill's lung. The Grimsby-born eight-year-old was rushed to hospital on Tuesday night in a "very poorly" condition and underwent an ultrasound at 10am on Wednesday morning. The scan revealed a a 2cm nodule on the top of her right lung. Once this is removed it will be sent for a histology report. Claudia has already beaten an aggressive form of brain cancer after her family were told on four different occasions that she was about to die. However, the youngster miraculously overcame the cancer with an MRI scan revealing she was free from cancer on June 7. Claudia was yesterday being prepared for surgery once more at Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham, to drain her lung of fluid and remove the 'tumour' along with any surrounding tissue. A message was posted on the Claudia's Cause Facebook page yesterday about the crushing news. It said: "Please pray that Claudia does not suffer and that she remains pain free, comfortable and content. "I am calling upon all of our angels to help. "I love you Claudia, so, so much, always and forever, my precious baby girl."
