WANNABE television stars became part of the biggest show on earth – if only for a day.
The X Factor booth – which films people singing and dancing for the Talk Talk adverts linked to the ITV programme – spent the day at Morrisons, in Laceby.
Visitors, including the Grimsby Telegraph's very own Lucy Greensmith, performed for the cameras in the hope of getting their faces seen on national TV.
The first person to try the booth was 19-year-old Ellis Sanderson.
"It's funny seeing yourself pull faces on a TV screen," she said.
"You get to pick your song, background choice and then you are filmed dancing to the song. Your head is put on a different person's body dancing to it.
"I was bopping to a Leona Lewis song and it was really fun – hopefully I will get on TV for it."
Ellis said she really likes our very own Ella Henderson on the show.
"I think Ella has really good vocals and it's a shame District3 were voted out because I think they did a really good performance."
The Grimsby Telegraph's very own entertainment reporter, Lucy Greensmith, strutted her stuff in the booth.
She said: "I didn't know what to expect but it was more fun than I thought.
"Inside the little tent was a booth with a large computer screen and there were a selection of songs and background images to choose from.
"I decided to go for Daft Punk – One More Time, just because I knew the song and I thought it would be a good one to jump up and down to.
"The countdown was quite scary before the filming, but once it was rolling you just had to get into it, pulling as many faces as possible.
"My video is now uploaded onto www. xfactor.talktalk.co.uk and the more views I get the more likely it will be shown on TV – so search for my name and get watching!"
John Saywell, the general manager at Morrisons, added: "It has generated a lot of interest because the show is so popular.
"We have had people asking for weeks when the booth is coming – it has been very popular with youngsters after school.
"The staff have been really looking forward to it too, and they even had a go."
The booth has been travelling the country and has now moved onto Hull.
Chris Connolly, who was running the booth, said: "We have had a really good response from people so far, and even if people don't have a go in the booth they are interested in what it is.
"People really enjoy it because it's a great way to have the chance of being on television after one of the most popular TV shows."
