The hunt is on for a new chairman to lead the trust which runs Lincolnshire's ambulances through "challenging times".
East Midlands Ambulance Service is part-way through its major plans to change the way it operates - including controversial proposals to close some stations in the county which are on hold.
Now the EMAS team is in the process of recruiting a £30,000-a-year chair.
"We are looking for a passionate person to join our trust board to share our vision of better patient care," said EMAS chief executive Sue Noyes.
"All of us at EMAS are here to improve the lives of our patients, this is our common purpose.
"This means there is a constant drive to ensure the clinical quality of the service we provide and to build an efficient and sustainable organisation for the future.
"The most challenging roles are often the most rewarding, which is why we are looking for a candidate
who shares our determination and commitment, and who has the ability to lead.
"We are in the process of turning things around at EMAS and continuing to see positive changes.
"Candidates need to bring expertise and demonstrate they have the ability to provide robust leadership.
"They will be responsible for leading our Better Patient Care programme and developing strategies to
improve operational and clinical services."
The trust's director of workforce Nick Cook said: "We are looking for resilient people who have strong
strategic leadership skills, a total focus on patient care, and who can inspire our staff to ever improving
levels of performance."
Closing date for applications is 11am on July 31.
