Traffic is flowing freely once more on the A180 after a van brokedown on the eastbound carriageway of the A180.
The incident was reported at 5.19pm near to the Westgate roundabout.
Two fire engines from Peaks Lane Fire Station attended the scene.
A spokeswoman for Humberside Fire and Rescue Service said: "It was more of a mechanical problem than a fire. It was towed away."
