POLICE found a naked man "out for a moonlight stroll" and "a bit of harmless fun" in the early hours, Grimsby magistrates heard. Steven Holman, 27, of Cromwell Road, Grimsby, admitted exposing his genitals on September 22. The court heard that a member of the public telephoned the police at about 3.30am to say that there was a naked man committing a sex act in Cromwell Road. Police saw Holman on his tiptoes, looking over parked cars, and touching himself. He was arrested and said: "I am out for a moonlight stroll." He claimed he was bored and could not sleep. It was "just a bit of harmless fun" and the danger was that he might get caught, he said. Nigel Sloane, mitigating, said Holman had no previous convictions and would be helped by intensive supervision. Unemployed Holman was given a three-year supervision order, including a sex offender treatment course, and was ordered to pay £85 costs. He will have to register as a sex offender for five years.
