Fire crews are still dealing with a chemical blaze that caused "significant damage" on the Stallingborough Industrial Estate.
Several appliances were sent to Selvic Shipping Ltd on Sunday evening following a large fire that was the result of a zinc-based product.
According to a spokesperson for Humberside Fire and Rescue, roughly 700 tonnes of zinc was involved which caused damage to 50 per cent of the building.
The fire, which was reported to emergency services at 6.56pm, also spread to adjacent buildings.
Fire crews remained at the scene throughout Monday to damp down the fire, although it had been contained the night previous.
The spokesperson also added that a large amount of smoke was present inside the building.
The fire service advised residents to stay indoors during the evening and to ensure any windows or doors were firmly shut.
Fire fighters are still at the scene.
