Could Britain's Got Talent winners Collabro be coming to Louth?
The mum of local singing sensation Thomas Leak says her son and his band are "desperate" to play in his home town.
Gabriella McCree said the boys, who won ITV's Britain's Got Talent, want to visit each of their home towns to thank the fans who supported them.
But Collabro may have to balance small gigs in places like East Lindsey with bigger venues across the country – such as those on their 23-date UK tour announced this week – after they secured another coup last week.
As reported, the band announced they had signed to Simon Cowell's record label, SYCO - which also boasts acts including One Direction and Leona Lewis.
Proud mum Ms McCree said the high-profile company wasn't the only one looking to take on the musical theatre act. She said: "It's been absolutely phenomenal.
"They're all trying to go back to their home towns to perform. Thomas is really trying to get back home to Louth, but SYCO want them to play the biggest venue possible.
"I knew this was on the cards, but they did have a few options. Simon Cowell just really wanted them and it must have been the best thing for them because there are certain things that certain record companies want out of you or expect from you. I'm so impressed with a couple of the boys who have their business heads on and they spoke to everyone who wanted them and they've made the decision to go with SYCO.
"We're so grateful - the people of Louth, Lincolnshire and the UK are the ones who have got the boys to where they are."
The group wowed the audience during the live show on ITV1 on June 7 and won the public vote.
The five-strong group including Thomas – who studied at Louth Monks' Dyke Technology College – will now perform at the Royal Variety Performance later this year and will also share £250,000.
They are now working hard in the studio, with the intention of releasing an album on July 14.
Ms McCree said: "The album comes out on my parents' wedding anniversary, so I won't forget the date.
"I know it will be predominantly musical theatre because that's what they are and what they love, but they can do other things, so there has been talks of maybe having one or two songs that are not musical theatre. It's just so exciting."
Collabro's fan base has grown since the auditions in April, with popularity growing all around the world.
She added: "People around the world, now that they've been signed, all say you must come on tour here, we'll buy your album.
"It will be amazing if they tour the world. It's something I was afraid to say before, but now you just know it's going to happen at some point.
"I'm sure Simon Cowell knows what he's doing, he will maximise Collabro as much as he can – he won't just sign them, he'll get them to do as much as possible."
