A 36-year-old man was arrested this morning following reports of an attempted burglary in Grimsby.
Between 5.45am and 6.05am, the resident of an address on Lambert Road called police after hearing a noise coming from outside her address.
The resident opened the window to see what was going on, but did not see anyone.
After hearing the same noise again, the resident spotted an unknown man climbing over the garden fence and into a neighbours garden.
The resident went downstairs to see what had happened and noticed that damage had been caused to the door of the conservatory.
Shortly after police attended, a 36-year-old man was arrested in People's Park and he remains in custody.
