Chris Wood and Adam Stuart, both from Grimsby, appeared together on the BBC quiz show Pointless tonight. Chris, 40, is the manager at the 3 mobile phone store in Freshney Place, and Adam used to work there. They took part on the popular BBC One show together as a team, but unfortunately they were knocked out in the first round. Chris managed to score 70 on his go, but Adam was stumped and guessed incorrectly for the round based on cockney rhyming slang - dumping them out of the competition at the first attempt. Adam incorrectly guessed that 'a baker's dozen' was rhyming slang for oven. This is not the first time Chris has appeared on TV, having cooked up a storm on Channel 4's Come Dine With Me in 2010. He has also appeared on the Weakest Link and Eggheads, among others. "I got my one right, which is all that matters", Chris joked. "But we never thought we would win, it was all about having a laugh, and we had a brilliant time. "I have quite a collection of TV appearances now. It all started about 20 years ago when I appeared on the first ever Chris Moyles show. "I made a lot of friends there and since then I've just been invited back to a number of shows." The pair will be appearing on the show for the second and final time at 5.15pm on Monday.
