A section of the footpath on Hainton Avenue in Grimsby was sealed off by police this morning after a woman was found "in a confused state" in the early hours. The woman, who is in her early 40s, was taken to hospital and was initially believed to be in a serious condition, but is now recovering. Police were initially called at 1.36am and the pavement is now closed off between Cash 4 Clothes and Brides & Maids while officers investigate the incident. Crime Scene Investigators arrived at the scene at 8.20am and were seen thoroughly investigating a public phone box on the pavement outside Japanese restaurant Yu Me & Co. A local resident said: "I did hear an argument last night in the early hours. It sounded like it was taking place down the road. I heard swearing and shouting – people calling out this, that and the other. "Someone has fallen out with someone else, obviously, but beyond that I've got no clue as I drew the curtains and went to bed. "This morning I've woken up to the pavement being taped off but I have no idea what actually went on." Police enquiries are continuing but, at present, no criminal complaints have been recorded in connection with the incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting log number 44 of 13 June 2014
