TWO familiar boxing faces went head-to-head in sparring today.
Grimsby pro Kevin Hooper has been lending a helping hand to former Mariners midfielder, Curtis Woodhouse, ahead of his British title defence.
Woodhouse, who enjoyed a brief spell at Blundell Park in 2006, is set to take on fellow light-welterweight Willie Limond on June 27.
And the winner of that Glasgow contest will scoop both the British and Commonwealth belts.
Hooper, meanwhile, is plotting a return to the big time after two English title challenges last year.
