Comedian Johnny Vegas and Homeland star David Harewood are among the latest stars to be confirmed for the new comedy film Grimsby. The Sacha Baron Cohen film, due for release in July 2015, will focus on football hooligans. As reported, Baron Cohen was spotted attending Grimsby Town's game with Cambridge at Blundell Park last season, and was seen wearing a Mariners shirt. He has since lined up an array of talent which includes Ian McShane and the Oscar-nominated Gabourey Sidibe, as well as Annabelle Wallis. Mark Strong will star as a spy forced to team up with his football hooligan brother, played by Baron Cohen, after going on the run. Shooting locations have yet to be announced for the film but, as reported, Baron Cohen visited Grimsby last year and it is thought part of the film could be shot in the local area. Reports also suggest Baron Cohen has been filming scenes at Southend United's ground Roots Hall, as well as Wembley Stadium. Along with Baron Cohen, Wreck It-Ralph scribe Phil Johnston and Alan Partridge writer Peter Baynham are also involved. Although Paramount Pictures has helped develop Grimsby, earlier this year it was moved to Sony, who will have the worldwide rights to the movie.
