POLICE are urging people to be wary after a spate of shed burglaries and bike thefts in Louth town centre.
Officers are investigating four incidents over the weekend involving bikes being stolen and sheds being entered.
Overnight on Saturday a blue and purple mountain bike was stolen from the back garden of a property in Monks' Dyke Road.
And the same night three bikes were taken from the back garden of a house in Watts Lane, with padlocks and chains being cut.
A ladies Apollo mountain bike, men's Townsend bike and freestyle BMX with black frame were all stolen.
On nearby St Michael's Road, on the same night, a padlocked shed was entered and a Marida mens mountain bike with maxxis tyres was taken.
The following day, on Sunday, between 2pm and 7pm, a shed in Bradley Close was broken into but the thieves were disturbed.
It is thought they were attempting to steal bikes.
