A man has been charged in connection with Sunday's assault in North Somercotes.
Jareth Wadner 25, of Louth Road, South Somercotes, has been charged with grievous bodily harm and is due to appear before magistrates in Skegness this morning.
As reported, the attack took place outside the Axe and Cleaver Pub at around 4am on Sunday.
A 43-year-old man, named locally as Wayne Jennings, was found with severe head injuries.
His family are holding a bedside vigil in hospital.
Police say he remains in a critical condition.
A 50 year-old woman was also arrested in connection with the incident and she has since been released on police bail until 2 July.
