SUPPORT for Grimsby Town is flooding in from across the world ahead of the second leg of their play-off clash against Gateshead.

As reported, a win is all that stands between the mighty Mariners and another trip to Wembley – albeit in a bid to return to the League rather than the hope of FA Cup glory.

Following their 1-1 draw at home on Thursday, Liam Foxcroft tweeted this picture, above, of himself and Cpl Chris Wilkinson of 901 EAW – part of 83 Expediationary Air Group (EAG) – sporting their GTFC shirts from their base in the Middle East.

He said: "We are town @officialGTFC. Come on you Mariners. From the boys in the Middle East."

And they won't be the only ones cheering on the side.

Despite the game being televised by BT Sport – and screened at local venues including Harveys Lounge And Kitchen, Cleethorpes, and the Coach House, Humberston – a travelling army of fans are expected to march on to the International Stadium.

Town fans have already snapped up 1,200 tickets for the big clash, which kicks off at 4.30pm, with more tickets available on the turnstiles.

And our roving reporters will be joining them for the trip – and to wave them off – so make sure you keep your eyes peeled for them to send the team your messages of support. In fact, we want to hear from you throughout the game.

As always, our sports team will be giving live blow-by-blow coverage of the match at www.grimsbytelegraph.co.uk via Cover It Live, where you can share your thoughts on the game so far.

There will also be team news updates before kick-off, half-time and full-time reports, and more reaction from the ground.

And Monday's paper will be packed with reaction, analysis and pictures from the big match – whatever the outcome.

But, following a strong performance from GTFC in the home leg, fans are confident of success.

Commenting on our website, hollygrace10 said: "Grimsby looked great, far from the conference level they are playing at.

"I am sure we will complete the job at Gateshead if they play anything like the last game.

"Credit to Paul Hurst. Confidence is booming, as their interplay shows.

"Destroy the Gateshead and give the fans that final!"

Fellow fan Pontoonergy added: "Well played Town.

"I really enjoyed the match and I still think we can sink Gateshead in the second leg and get through to Wembley.

"You all played with desire and fight and that was good to see."
