A SHIRT worn by Grimsby Town goalkeeping legend George Tweedy will be donated to the club ahead of the Mariners' game with Kidderminster on Thursday.
As reported, the clash with the Harriers has been designated as a 'Mariners Memory' game, as the club, in partnership with the Sporting Memories Network charity, try to raise awareness of dementia.
Fans will be invited to wear their favourite retro shirt to the game and share their memories of famous matches from days gone by.
Ahead of kick-off, the family of Tweedy, who played 347 league games for Town, will also take to the pitch to donate his shirt from the 1935/36 season to Town chief executive Ian Fleming.Do you have any memories of Tweedy? Share your stories using the comment facility below.
