LINCOLNSHIRE Police are continuing with their investigation today after a man threatened staff with an air rifle during an attempted robbery in a Caistor fish and chip shop.
The incident happened inside Micks Plaice in Market Place at around 8.05pm on Saturday.
The man entered the shop and demanded cash from the staff whilst threatening them with what is believed to have been an air rifle.
The staff did not comply with the request and the offender left the premises. The employees present were shaken but not injured. A police spokesman said there had been no arrests yet and appealed to the public to come forward to help identify the man.
The man is described as white, in his late 20s to mid 30s, 5ft 7in to 5ft 10in tall, with a slim to medium build, clean shaven with no noticeable accent. He wore a green or brown hooded top with the drawstring pulled tight so that only his face was visible. The air rifle was partially wrapped in what may have been a wax jacket or a dark coat.
Witnesses should contact the police on 101, quoting incident 474 of December 13, 2013.
