AN injury-time equaliser from Dayle Southwell earned Grimsby Town a 1-1 draw with Welling United this evening at Blundell Park.
The Mariners fell behind to Joe Healy's 11th minute opener as the Wings man hooked in Kurtis Guthrie's cross, past home stopper James McKeown.
Town huffed and puffed, but looked to be heading for a first defeat in 11 matches, as the 90-minute mark passed.
However, with everyone up for a throw-in, five minutes into added time, McKeown made a nuisance of himself and when the ball ran across the box, Southwell was on hand to tap home.
That proved to be the last kick of the game - preserving the hosts' unbeaten run and earning a precious point.
See tomorrow's Grimsby Telegraph for a full match report and reaction from manager Paul Hurst.
