MOBILE internet provider EE has switched on 4G coverage in some parts of North East Lincolnshire.
Yesterday, the Grimsby Telegraph was contacted by a worker based on Grimsby Docks, who noticed the 4G service was now up and running on his phone.
A spokeswoman for the company confirmed that some sites had already been activated and that an official launch was planned before Christmas.
She said: "We're excited to confirm that 4G from EE is coming to Grimsby very soon, giving the town super-fast mobile internet.
"We're activating sites already and hope to be fully covering the area by Christmas."Follow us on Facebook and Twitter
