SCUNTHORPE United officials are expecting a crowd of around 6,000 for tomorrow night's FA Cup first round replay against local rivals Grimsby Town.
The Iron have sold only around 3,600 tickets to home supporters so far for the clash at Glanford Park and fans have until 4pm tomorrow to secure their spot.
However, the Mariners' allocation of 2,080 has been completely sold out.
The match is all-ticket for both home and away supporters and the 4pm deadline for sales was agreed by the club after discussions with Humberside Police.
The initial tie at Grimsby's Blundell Park finished 0-0 in front of a crowd of 8,306.
David Beeby, United's general manager, said ticket sales so far amounted to around 5,600
And he said he hoped more fans would buy tickets and boost the crowd for the game.
He said: "People have until 4pm tomorrow to get their ticket and come down and support their club and hopefully, we will get through to round two of the FA Cup.
"We knew we wouldn't have as many as for the first game, with it being on a Tuesday night and it is difficult for families with young children to be out at that time.
"If the game doesn't go to extra time and penalties it will finish at around 9.30pm but if it does go to extra time and penalties, you are looking at a 10.30pm finish.
"It is one of those things where I can understand that viewpoint.
"There were some problems at the first game and people are a little bit wary of that.
"We are obviously trying to alleviate as many of those things as possible in terms of crowd trouble after the first game and make sure it doesn't happen again.
"There is still time for people to come and buy their tickets and we hope more people do and we get a good turnout."
There are no tickets left for Grimsby supporters after the club's allocation sold out in less than three days last week.
United fans can buy tickets from the Glanford Park ticket office or by telephone until 4pm tomorrow.
Pre-booked tickets will be available for collection up until the 7.45pm kick-off time.
