BRITISH Transport Police say there has been a "really good response" as they reappeal for information on a fight involving two women on a train heading to Cleethorpes.CCTV images were released following the incident, which took place in the first class carriage of the 21:49 Sheffield to Cleethorpes service on Saturday, September 14.
Officers have already had 12 responses from members of the public, providing names for those police want to talk to.
Hilary Bowyer, North East media manager for British Transport Police, said: "We have had some information come in following the media appeal.
"A number of names have been put forward by the public and officers are now investigating further.
"Once we have looked into the incident further, more information will be released.
"There has been a really good response on the back of this appeal and there have been 12 calls from members of the public - which is more than we would usually expect.
"We would like to thank them for their assistance."
Following a new line of inquiry, officers released the CCTV images in a bid to identify five people - three men and two women - who they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
