Crimestoppers have today embarked on a 24-hour Tweetathon to show demonstrate how much information they process each day.
Their media team will be based at the call bureau for 24 hours and will endeavour to tweet nearly every single report they receive via the phone or online.
All tweets are being sanitised to protect people's anonymity at all times and they will tweet at a county and crime-type level only.
They are also joining up with police and law enforcement partners on Twitter and @mentioning them where they have worked together on fighting a particular crime type or have launched a campaign.
