BOXER Wayne Bloy says that every fight of his comeback is vital if he is going to finish his career as a title winner.
The Grimsby professional is set to take on Bristol's Harvey Hemsley in an undercard fight in Hull's 'City Hall Showdown' tonight.
And the 30-year-old is under no illusions about the importance of tonight's fight as he strives to realise his title dream, before hanging up his gloves for good.
Speaking to the Telegraph he said: "Tonight's fight is vital – every one that I have now is.
"Should I fail, that will be me done because you can't keep going on.
"My wife's pregnant with our second child and I'm a family man. I can't keep putting them through it.
"But there's definitely some unfinished business for me.
"I've still got something inside me that tells me to get up and go running at 6am in the morning and continue to train.
"If I've still got that desire in me, then I'm still good enough to fight and good enough to win a title.
He added: "I'm feeling really confident about tonight. I've got a new team behind me and it's exciting for me, even at this late stage in my career and I'm ready for it.
"I don't know that much about my opponent.
"All I'm concentrating on is my game plan and what I'm going to do because that's all you can do with these sorts of fights.
"You've just got to focus on what you want to do in the ring.
"I've been in with some top quality opponents over my career and it's given me a wealth of experience and, hopefully, that will pay off."
Bloy's coach Andy Cox added: "Wayne is coming towards the end of his career and his ambition is to win a title – whatever level it's at.
"There's no reason why we can't challenge for a British Masters and bring that home to Grimsby.
"We've put together a 12 to 18 month plan and if he follows that, there's no reason he can't get there.
"It's an ideal fight for him tonight.
"The kid is a young lad, so we don't know too much about him as he's only had a couple of fights.
"But these fights are the most dangerous because the lad will know he needs to win and get some wins on his record early, so he'll be looking to cause an upset."
