A LEICESTER man has been sentenced to two years for the false imprisonment of a woman in Louth.
Jalwinder Singh Kang, 38, from Heyworth Road, pleaded guilty at Lincoln Crown Court to assaulting and unlawfully imprisoning 19 year-old Bethany Harland-Jaines in the early hours of 16th September 2012 in Northgate, Louth.
Judge Heath said that "the incident was a terrifying attack on a lone female that she is never likely to forget".
Speaking after Kang was sentenced, officer in the case, PC Tim Ridgeway, said, "The Police and victim are pleased with the sentence passed by Judge Heath and it demonstrates the firm stance taken by all involved in the prosecution".
