Joint manager Rob Scott appears to have left Grimsby Town Football Club. A brief statement released by the club this morning states Paul Hurst will take sole charge of team matters with immediate effect. The club has said they will make a further statement in due course. Scott and Hurst left Boston United to take charge at the Mariners in March 2011 after guiding the Pilgrims to promotion from the UniBond League Premier Division the season before. The pair also won promotion with Ilkeston Town in 2009 before joining Boston.

The duo guided Town to the Conference play-offs last season, but hopes of promotion were ended at the semi-final stage by Newport County. Scott and Hurst also led the Mariners to the FA Trophy final at Wembley in March where they were defeated by Wrexham. Keep checking back for updates.
