THE family of the woman found dead at her home in Grimsby has paid tribute to a "bright and bubbly" person who was "always full of life".

Relatives of Sharon Blackburn described the mum-of-five as a "good egg" who would do anything for anyone.

The 41-year-old's body was discovered at her home in Eleanor Street on Bank Holiday Monday.

The police's initial investigation described her death as unexplained but a post mortem examination revealed she had died from natural causes. A man was arrested and later released without any further action, as officers closed the inquiry.

Her eldest daughter Kayleigh, 25, said: "She was very loving and caring, bright and bubbly.

Son Leon, 21, who recently graduated from the University of Westminster, said: "Mum never tried to push me to do things I never wanted to do. She let me be my own agent and take control of my own life – she never tried to question or undermine me. I appreciated her, often untold, confidence in me."

Daughter Katie, 19, said: "She was bubbly and really lively, and she always played games with us."

Mum Janet, 68, said: "She was a good egg. She would do anything for you."

Born to Ronald and Janet Ward in Albert Road, Cleethorpes, in 1971, Sharon attended Hereford School and Chelmsford High School.

After leaving school she got a job at the KP Factory in Grimsby. She later worked at Kimberly Clark in Barton, as a barmaid at the Imperial Pub in Cleethorpes and as a chef at Grimsby Golf Club.

Her most recent job was at the Spar shop on Yarborough Road in Grimsby, which she left about six years ago.

Sharon was married three times, to Gary Stewart, William Stratton, and, in 2006, to band Mark Blackburn, with whom she lived in Eleanor Street.

She has five children: Kayleigh, Leon, Katie, Robbie and Jordan.

Husband Mark said: "She was loving and caring, certainly devoted. She spoilt me rotten.

"She was my soulmate. We did everything together. It's going to be hard coping without her."

Sharon is also survived by her sister Christina, brothers Sean, David, Carl and Jamie, and her niece Chloe.

A funeral service will be held at Grimsby Crematorium on Thursday, September 5 at 1pm.
