"THAT will be it for new signings unless we have a mass of injuries before the first game."
Joint boss Paul Hurst insists Grimsby Town's squad is complete and ready to kick-off the 2013/14 season.
Chris Doig is the final piece of that jigsaw and, although Hurst, above, admits changes will occur once the campaign is up and running, he is pleased with the new line-up.
He told the Telegraph: "That gives us 20 players, which has turned out to be more than we initially thought we would be able to get in.
"That's because we've been able to get a couple of what we consider to be really good deals for players.
"So we start with a squad of 20, but we all know that as the season progresses people who aren't in the team will be unhappy or want to go on loan and if lads aren't producing we'll have to look at it.
"There's now cover in pretty much every area. It's just down to the injuries we pick up – if we suddenly lose two centre-backs we're going to have to bring one in. That's probably the same for the full-back areas as well.
"We've also got a couple of young lads that we've involved, in Paul Walker and Tom Charlesworth, and others will be trying to impress in the Youth team.
"We've got plenty of other options because the likes of Sam Hatton can play in midfield and Paul Bignot can cover anywhere across the back line.
"So we're really happy with the squad we've got to get the season underway."
