BRADFORD City boss Phil Parkinson was full of praise for Grimsby Town after last night's pre-season friendly.
Following the Bantams' 2-0 victory at Blundell Park, Parkinson paid tribute to Rob Scott and Paul Hurst's side, saying they had provided a 'test' for the League One club.
Speaking to The Telegraph and Argus, the former Hull City boss said: "Grimsby are a good side and have high expectations for this year and it was a test for us.
"The ball was sticking a little bit on the surface in the first half and not moving as quickly as both teams would have liked. But I thought our shape was solid and we restricted them to very few chances.
"The game opened up in the second half and that extra bit of quality we had shone through."
