Scunthorpe police were at the town's railway station around noon today (Saturday July 20) to keep watch on Grimsby Town fans arriving for this afternoon's derby game with Scunthorpe United at Glanford Park.
No trouble was reported, with a number of Mariners' followers heading for nearby pubs.
The police contingent included a dog van and other vehicles.
The Lincolnshire Cup tie has a 3pm kick-off.
