"I STILL wait to see his car pull up as I lock the gates at night – now I'm having to come to terms with the fact that it will never happen again."
Those were the words of bereaved mum Doris Collier, 70, speaking for the first time about the loss of her son, Paul Hodge, who died in the Great Coates level crossing tragedy in April.
British Transport Police is now concluding its investigation into the incident in which Paul, 47, of Nunsthorpe, was killed. His Volvo was struck by a train on the level crossing and he died at the scene.
