Heating oil stolen from school

More than 500 litres of heating oil were stolen from North Somercotes Primary School. Swimming lessons have been halted after the theft overnight between Tuesday and Wednesday because the oil tank supplied the heating for the school's outdoor pool. Headteahcer Paul Floyd said the value of the oil was estimated at £360. A resident in the village had 1,000 litres stolen from his oil tank at the weekend. He said every effort was being made to get swimming lessons back on before the end of term next week. Anyone with information about the thefts was urged to contact Lincolnshire Police by calling 101.
