RAIL services will be fully reintroduced in the region by the end of July following a landslip. The passenger timetable will fully re-introduced by July 29 following weeks of work to stabilise the tracks, when a landslide at the Hatfield Colliery caused widespread disruption. However, trains through Hatfield and Stainforth will recommence from July 8. Work to reinstate the line has been ongoing for weeks and the line was suspended between Doncaster and Scunthorpe, amid fears from traders in Cleethorpes that tourists wouldn't bother visiting the resort. Phil Verster, route managing director for Network Rail, said: "We are in the business of running trains yet this spoil slip has forced passengers onto buses for almost six months. "I am grateful for their patience and understanding. I also thank freight customers who have been forced to take lengthy diversions to deliver essential goods upon which our economy relies." Reaction from Cleethorpes traders - see tomorrow's Telegraph.
