A man and a woman arrested in connection with the death of four-year-old Poppy Widdison have been released on bail.
Humberside Police said the 34-year-old woman and 36-year-old man were bailed to a date in July pending further enquiries.
They had been arrested on Sunday after Poppy was admitted to Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital in Grimsby with serious injuries. Poppy was later transferred to Sheffield Children's Hospital where she died in the early hours of Monday.
Detective Chief Inspector Umberto Cuozzo, who is leading the investigation said: "The investigation into the death of four year old Poppy Widdison is still very much on going and a number of enquiries are still being made."
He added: "Our investigations are continuing, and at this time we are not looking to make any further arrests in connection with the death of Poppy Widdison."More on this story...
