THREE weeks after opening its doors to customers, this Belle Maison is still attracting ooohs and ahhs.
Owner Ann Marshallsay has transformed the former secondhand store on the corner of St Peter's Avenue and Cambridge Street, Cleethorpes, into a chic emporium of unique gifts and furnishings for home and garden.
And, extending the Sea View Street boutique-feel to another area of the resort has already proved popular with customers.
She said: "We get lots of 'ooohs and ahhs' from people who come in to tell us what a nice change and a refreshing difference it is.
"A lot of people say we needed something like this in Cleethorpes and we're already doing really well.
"We even get cars slowing down outside so people can have a proper look – it's so totally different to what it was."
It's not Ann's first foray into the world of retail – she previously ran a newsagents on North Sea Lane in the resort.
However, running a boutique store is something she has always yearned to try her hand at and she has big plans for the future.
She said: "The shop will change with the seasons. We are going to totally transform the shop for Christmas."
Currently, it is stocked with everything you need for the summer, from garden tables and chairs, to those little decorative finishing touches that make all the difference.
And, if it won't fit in the car, there's no need to worry, as the store offers free local delivery.
