POLICE are trying to trace a potential witness to an arson attack in Hainton Avenue, Grimsby.
The incident happened at about 6pm on Tuesday, May 14 and Humberside Police have today turned to the public for help.
A force spokesperson said: "The occupants of the address were inside the home when they appeared to hear a loud bang coming from the front of the property.
"They went to the front of the house and noticed that a black bin bag which contained a house brick, a lit firework and a collection of twigs, had been thrown through the living room window.
"Very minor damage had been caused to the property and the firework went out. Nobody was injured.
"An unknown woman walked past the house and is alleged to have advised the residents that she saw two unknown kids in the area at the time of the incident.
"This woman is sought by police as she might have information which can assist with the investigation."
The woman and anyone with information is asked to call Humberside Police on 101, quoting reference number 1974535.
