HERE are the first pictures of Grimsby actor Matt Kennard with long-standing Emmerdale star Charley Webb ahead of his debut in the soap tonight.
The 31-year-old former Tollbar and Franklin student plays Kirk Stoker, a dodgy dealer who Charley's character Debbie Dingle gets involved with.
But will she regret it?
Matt appears in six episodes in the next two weeks, including tonight's and tomorrow's instalments.
And he is not the first local actor to appear in the popular ITV soap.
Humberston's Sophie Powles played Holly Barton for three years before she quit last summer.
She had a number of main storylines, including becoming hooked on heroin.
As reported, Matt – who played practice nurse Archie Hallam in BBC1's Doctors for two years – is also preparing for the cinema release in the summer of Status Quo's debut film, Bula Quo, which he filmed in Fiji last year.
Matt spent five weeks filming with Francis Rossi and Rick Parfitt for Status Quo's debut movie, which sees them witness a gang murder in Fiji.
Matt plays Dave, a weatherman, who dreams of being an anchor.
He sees Status Quo in Fiji as an opportunity, follows them and gets wind of a bigger story. His only distraction is Caroline, the young intern, who is played by Matt's real-life long-term girlfriend Laura Aikman.
The couple live together in London, but Matt's parents, Kathy and Derek live in Scartho and he has other family in Grimsby.
Emmerdale is on ITV1 at 7pm tonight.
