CLEETHORPES' pro golfer Holly Clyburn recorded her best result on the Ladies European Tour so far – a superb sixth-place finish at the Turkish Airlines Ladies Open.

The rookie, in just her third tour event, carded a fourth round score of 72 yesterday at the National Golf Club in Belek, Antalya.

That confirmed the 22-year-old's maiden top-ten finish and earned her a cheque for 7,025 euros – her biggest pay-day to date.

The impressive result also lifted Clyburn to 52nd place on the Tour Order of Merit.

"Well that's my best finish so far – finished sixth! Had a great week. Massive thank you to everyone involved," Clyburn, pictured, tweeted.

Also in action in Turkey was Humberston's Sophie Walker, who maintained her consistent form with an equal-31st finish – seven shots further back.

That earned the 28-year-old more than 2,200 euros and leaves her 41st on the LET standings.

Lee-Anne Pace collected her sixth tour title at the event.

A final round one-under-par 72, saw the 32-year-old South African come from two shots behind the overnight leaders Charley Hull and Carlota Ciganda to win by one.

Walker and Clyburn will head to Amsterdam next, for the Deloitte Ladies Open, which begins on Friday, May 24. With a prize fund of 250,000 euros, the tournament is sure to attract another strong field.
