ALEX Lowes is determined to continue his superb start to the British Superbike season – at Oulton Park this Bank Holiday weekend.
The Lincolnshire rider, and the rest of the Louth-based Samsung Honda team, head to Cheshire for round three of the championship.
And the 22-year-old is full of confidence after four consecutive podium finishes to start his campaign.
He said: "I can't wait for this weekend, especially after we had such a good test at Knockhill recently. We were able to make some good changes to the front suspension which gives me even more confidence.
"That is going to be important at a track like Oulton Park and we know the team and the Samsung Honda have already been working well in the opening two rounds.
"When I am happy like I am now, I tend to ride better.
"I hope that this weekend will be a circuit where we can push for the win, but I am not thinking about that too much at the moment.
"If we get the job done in practice and qualifying then we'll see what happens.
"If it's on and I can beat the other guys then of course I will be pushing for it. I have been happy with the season so far and we need to be consistent, but a win would be a great result.
Team-mate Ryuichi Kiyonari, meanwhile, is hoping for a change in fortunes after a disappointing event at Thruxton last time out.
"Thruxton was difficult for me, but I hope that at Oulton Park it can be different," said the three-time BSB champion, pictured right.
"I like the circuit and have had some good races there before and we did some good work at the test so I hope that we can have better races this weekend.
"I will try very hard and we will work to try and improve all weekend because we need to have good results at Oulton Park."
