IT may be blowing a gale out there, but Cleethorpes has so far escaped being recarpeted in sand.
As reported, last month council workers and seafront businesses were left fighting a "losing battle" when tonnes of sand were blown off the beaches.
Huge drifts formed on Central Promenade, lower Kingsway and North Promenade.
However, a spokesman for NELC said they did not expect a repeat of the problem today, as the wind was "blowing the other way".
