ROB Scott looked ahead to the climax of Grimsby Town's campaign and insisted "the swagger's coming back."
The Mariners head into tonight's Conference clash at Woking on a seven-match unbeaten run and with their spot in the play-offs already sealed.
And, after recovering from a nightmare March which saw Town win just once, the confidence is rushing back at an ideal time.
Joint boss Scott can see that belief spreading throughout his squad.
"When we're playing as a confident bunch that swagger is there," he said.
"We're seeing confidence return from where we were three or four weeks ago – they seem to have that swagger about them again.
"That comes with the support of everybody – the staff, the players and the fans alike.
"If the supporters really get behind them their confidence levels will soar and they'll see even better performances.
"We've shown for 85 per cent of the season – barring one month – how well we can play, how good we can be and how we're a match for anybody.
"Friday's performance at Luton will only add to that and if we can get another good display at Woking tonight, then the confidence levels will rise again and that will push the rest of the squad on.
"Once you get seven, eight, nine playing with confidence and playing well, the other lads get carried along."
Town are yet to lose since their FA Trophy Final defeat to Wrexham on April 24 – at the time their fifth reverse on the bounce.
"March was a bad month for us but I don't think we were horrific," Scott added. "We weren't great against Cambridge, Barrow and a few others, but we weren't awful – Nuneaton was the only game where we were poor. It wasn't going our way and confidence levels dipped.
"Those confidence levels will only come back through getting games and playing well, and we've done that in the last few matches.
"We're unbeaten in seven and that can only be a good thing heading into the last couple of games of the season – and the play-offs."
