GRIMSBY Town Cricket Club begin the 2013 season with two warm-up matches at the weekend.
Town entertain Hull side Fenner tomorrow and the following day travel to Nottinghamshire to play Retford.
Captain Jim Morgan has been busy in the close season, recruiting several new players, most of whom are involved with the Lincolnshire Development Squad.
Harry Clewett has been signed from Cleethorpes and will form a spin-bowling partnership with slow left-armer Connor Hawkins, who joins from South Kelsey.
Opening bowler Charles Wright comes to the club from Woodhall Spa and opening batsman Ross Carnelley has transferred from Bracebridge Heath.
The club has signed Australian fast bowler Joel Hamilton as their overseas player. He takes over the fast-bowling duties from Carl Taylor who has left the club because of work and family commitments.
Long-serving batsman and former captain Richard Antcliffe has also left Grimsby after many years sterling service.
Grimsby's campaign in the Lincolnshire ECB Premier League begins on Saturday, April 20 when they visit local rivals Louth.
Cricket fans can see representative action at Grimsby Town's Augusta Street ground on Tuesday, April 16.
The Lincolnshire Academy side are playing Scottish Universities in a one-day game, with play commencing at 11am.
