Though the mystery over whether or not the Duchess of Cambridge let slip she was having a daughter was solved, speculation is now turning to what the royal baby might be called.
Video footage taken during the Duchess of Cambridge's visit to Grimsby in March proved conclusively that she did not accidentally reveal the sex of her baby as had previously been claimed.
However, many remain convinced the Duchess is having a girl and those putting money on the royal baby's name believe the new arrival will be called Alexandra.
Ladbrokes have slashed odds on the name from 10/1 to 2/1 following a flurry of recent bets.
The only current member of the royal family to use the name is Prince Michael of Kent's sister - Princess Alexandra.
One of the Queen's two middle names is Alexandra as well.
Other betters believe the baby may be named Elizabeth after the Queen whilst others are putting their money on the new arrival being the namesake of William's late mother, Princess Diana.
