ANOTHER century break went flying in this week – and it was Jamie Barrett who showed his class as he led Clee Cons A to a 7-1 whipping of TR Carpets in the Roy Ling Mutual Grimsby Snooker Singles League.
Playing against another of the town's top amateur players, Ashley Wright, and already with the first frame under his belt, Barrett stroked in the first red and proceeded to make a wonderful run of 109.
He narrowly missed the last tricky red with a possible 144 total clearance on.
This was followed with 2-0s from Gary Skipworth (59) and Karl Krajnyak (70) before Scott Templeman saved the slam for the Carpets with a single against John Parker.
Premier Section leaders Webbonet grabbed all eight frames at West End C when Gary Challis (83), Paul Clark, Mick Ponsonby and Jamie Green all won 2-0.

A 2-0 from Kev Cowdroy and a single from Jack Stinson against Tony Miller put Willows Sea Foods 3-1 up at home against Inspirations-Fireplaces.
They couldn't improve on that, however, as Daz Evans and Lee Blanchard won the last four frames for the visitors in a 5-3 victory.

Dave Bass was the star of the show in Section B as he rolled back the years, making a tremendous break of 72 when winning both his frames for Cromwell Rat Pack. Playing away at Nats B, Bassy's team-mate Sean Carlisle also won two, and together with singles from Ryan Johnstone and Rick Bass, they won the match 6-2. Keith Board and Chris Yull picked up the frames for the home team.
The top match saw leaders Healing Legion B play host to GSN Westlands and, in a very close encounter, the home side won 5-3. Danny Reynolds and Alex Burnett both won 2-0 for the Legion, and Ryan Milson shared with Ted Foster before John Morton pulled two back for the visitors.
A 2-0 from John Ford and singles from Nigel Mumby, Byron Hatfield and Alec Cowie against Alan Wortley, and Baz and Tony Potter, gave Westlands A a 5-3 at South Bank Imos.
