A DRIVER is now in a serious condition after hitting a lamppost this morning in Grimsby.
At 6.53am, a black Ford Focus hit a lamppost on Estate Road One, after it is believed the driver took ill at the wheel.
Police have now confirmed that the driver is a 57-year-old man from Grimsby and is in a "serious condition" at Grimsby's Diana Princess of Wales hospital.
Anyone who may have witnessed the collision is asked to call Humberside Police on 101, quoting log 64 of Monday, March 18
