HUNDREDS of schoolchildren from across the district will be taking part in a workshop to help them keep safe in their day-to-day lives.
Run by Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue the Stay Safe workshop will take place for year six pupil at Butlins, Skegness from Tuesday, March 12 to Thursday, March 14.
Youth engagement manager at Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue Andy Payne said: "Community safety is a key priority for us and it's important we prepare our young people for the future. These 'stay safe' days allow us to work with young people in an interesting and engaging environment and to get our safety messages across in a fun and exciting way."
Working in conjunction with Lincolnshire Police, Lincolnshire Safer Communities Board, the British Red Cross, Western Power and Stagecoach, this multi-agency workshop will teach pupils about street first aid, staying safe online, keeping safe on the school bus, fire and water safety, as well as how to behave around substations and electricity.
Executive councillor for community safety at Lincolnshire County Council councillor Peter Robinson said: "Even if it is something as simple as giving advice on keeping safe on the school bus or how to behave around water, it's all important."
