JOINT boss Rob Scott has challenged his Grimsby Town players to take 'nine points from nine' and come through their tough run with a perfect record.
Tuesday night's 1-0 victory over Forest Green Rovers got the Mariners' vital triple-header off to the best possible start.
And, ahead of the visit of Kidderminster Harriers, Scott says that Town want three points, before taking another maximum haul from their clash with in-form Mansfield Town just four days later.
"Everyone alluded to the fact that before the Forest Green game we needed to get points out of these games," he said.
"We were happy with the result on Tuesday and we want to win tomorrow and then go to Mansfield on Tuesday and beat them as well.
"That's the way we look at it and approach it.
"I don't like it when people say 'how many points would you take from the next few games'.
"But we were throwing it around on the coach the other day and the answer was simple – nine.
"That's the way you have to look at it."
Many predicted that the current run of games would prove pivotal in determining Town's title chances.
But Scott insists the desire to win every game is not just restricted to those against their nearest rivals.
"If you've got three big games, you want to take nine points from them," he added.
"If we take seven, so be it, but we want nine and we will be approaching it in that manner.
"We need to get points from all our remaining fixtures.
"The significance of the next two games is big, but none more so than those afterwards.
"We want to win them all – simple at that."
