PROTESTORS surrounded Scartho Baths as the council showed of plans for a new £8-million pool today.
The Save Our Pool campaigners were picketing and handing out leaflets in the car park of the Scartho Road building – due for closure when the new one is built on Cromwell Road.
Tempers ran high when protestors went inside and had some heated exchanges with council officers.
It was during an event in which North East Lincolnshire Council (NELC) were showing off 3D models of the new plan and asking for the public's views.
There will be another consultation event at Grimsby Auditorium, 5-8pm tonight.
