CAN someone tell me what the purpose of a gagging order is?
If some institution or company enters into one of these, why do they do it?
Why would an organisation pay out good money to someone for apparently no good reason?
They are an affront to free speech and, in my opinion, a bully tactic by hired legal muscle.
Does the legal system of this country really need to prostitute itself to save an organisation and so desperately need to install a safeguard such as this?
I suggest that unless there is a threat to national security, then these outrages should be outlawed.
I have some knowledge of these things, and they leave a very bad taste in my mouth. Let us get them stopped.
