IT'S not often you get to cook breakfast for a world-famous chef.
But the chance of a lifetime came true for Steve Legg, head chef at The Brackenborough Hotel, when Michelin-starred chef Albert Roux paid a visit.
Mr Roux cooked at a dinner at the Grimsby Institute to raise funds for St Andrew's Hospice last night.
You can read all about it in tomorrow's Grimsby Telegraph - but this morning, it was all about the famous face's breakfast when he awoke this morning.
Steve said: "I came in early just to meet him.
"Albert Roux is one of my heroes really - he is a giant in this industry. He has changed the face of catering in the UK.
"He has had Gordon Ramsey and many others work for him. I have been a chef for 40 years and he has really inspired me.
"I helped cook his breakfast and managed to have a quick chat with him.
"He was really nice and it has made my day.
"I have cooked for the king and queen of Sweden but just meeting the guy was a real honour to me.
"I think he is the best chef in the world.
"I'll admit I'm a little star struck."
For the record, Mr Roux enjoyed a full English for his breakfast.
Check back here on This Is Grimsby tomorrow for a video of him in action at the Institute.
