EXCITEMENT is building ahead of the Duchess Of Cambridge's visit to Grimsby – and messages are coming in from far and wide – including America.

The Grimsby Telegraph is collecting your messages to present to Kate, whose visit next Tuesday is among her first official engagements since her pregnancy announcement.

Elizabeth Walsh, from Reading, in Massachusetts, e-mailed us to say to Kate: "You are the real deal, a class act, well balanced, calm, intelligent. Thank you for being such a wonderful example of what a young woman can be."

Habibah Haque said: "Welcome to Grimsby! I hope you have a tremendous day with us and please accept my best wishes on your pregnancy! Please visit us again soon."

And the DR Education Trust tweeted: "Everyone at Havelock Academy is getting excited about the Royal Visit. Less than a week now!!! #gykate"

The duchess is to visit the Fishing Heritage Centre, Peaks Lane Fire Station and Havelock Academy as part of her charitable work with the Prince's Trust, as reported.

In the run-up, we will be publishing everything you need to know. In the meantime, we want you to get involved.

Send us your messages for Kate, which will be presented to her on the big day, by e-mailing newsdesk@grimsbytelegraph.co.uk, tweeting us using #gykate, or commenting on any story on the Royal visit at www.thisisgrimsby.co.uk.

We would also like your memories and pictures of Royal visits in days gone by, which you can send in any of the ways above.

Don't forget to let us know what your plans are for the big day, and send us your pictures, videos and comments on the day of the visit.

For the first time, we will stream live the duchess's arrival at the Fishing Heritage Centre; visit www.thisisgrimsby.co.uk

And don't miss:

Breaking news and videos throughout the day.

A special edition in the afternoon.

A 12-page supplement free in the Telegraph on March 6.
